Verified Purchase. I may not have got to grips with this program yet and it's not very intuitive. It has done basic stuff for me like converting. I've managed editing as well but the really annoying part is tying to save an amended file which it absolutely refused to do until I found out on the internet you have to disable the "preview page" in Windows Explorer!
Another thing is when you open the program it tries it's best to send you on to the Adobe website and directs you to a 'paid' service! I've bought the program! What else do they want? However - what arrived was a disc This product will work - you only get the disc and a code to register online to activate and it arrived promptly which was the good point. However - what arrived was a disc that was from a bundled package 'not to be sold separately'.
So two disappointments - although you do get a physical disc, which is really useful for re-installation purposes, you don't get the boxed version shown in the picture - which is a bit misleading. The second disappointment is that as it's a 'bundled' version, you can't use it to upgrade to DC Pro as I understand it since that requires a clean 'retail' version.
I sent this back. One person found this helpful. This was required to complete a government issued PDF tax document that included mathematical formulae. Adobe Acrobat 9 was the minimum standard required but as that version was only available as used copies this unused version X was purchased and worked well.
Whether it will ever be used again remains to be seen. Bought this as my old version 7 wouldn't run on Win7pro. Definitely not as user friendly as the earlier version and the stamp function is abysmal. However needs must and it does what it's supposed to do Unfortunately, like nearly all USA originated software there is no English UK language option other than spell checker so it is littered with spelling mistakes and bad grammar.
I've ordered 2 copies of this software from 2 different suppliers within a week using Amazon Prime. However, both CD's supplied clearly stated that the software was part of a bundle and not to be sold separately. Good price if you don't plan on upgrading but you might want to save yourself the trouble if you're looking for a full version.
Acrobat X is a good program with lots of useful features. I have not given it 5 stars because it is still quite expensive for private use.
